Kristina Gilchrist is a published author, and consultant. Kristina has worked with non-profit, private sector organizations, DC and PG County Public and Charter Schools, the Department of Family Services - Children, Youth & Families Division, and universities by developing and implementing programming, facilitating group sessions, serving on panels, and delivering key note speeches.

Kristina first worked for Men Can Stop Rape from 2010-2014 where she served as Program Manager and helped to support MCSR’s Women Inspiring Strength and Empowerment (WISE) Club at various DC Public and Charter Schools. Kristina left MCSR in 2014 to work with youth at the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council in the Executive Office of the Mayor under former Mayor Vincent Gray where she held the position of Program Coordinator and Interim Director. Overseeing a 32 member youth council and summer employment program, Kristina encouraged urban youth to become civically engaged to include providing a youth perspective to the Mayor and other city officials on various policies and initiatives. Under the current administration, Kristina served as Staff Assistant and Lead Public Information Officer and supported Mayor Muriel Bowser, the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff and 11 other offices under the Executive Office of the Mayor. In this role, Kristina served diverse populations to include returning citizens, African, Asian and Pacific Islander, Latino, LGBTQ, faith based, women, and veteran communities in the District of Columbia.

Currently, Kristina is Director of Youth Development at Men Can Stop Rape where she will continue the work she started in 2010 in support of the mission and vision of MCSR as they do the important work of providing youth services to District of Columbia youth.
