Men are often portrayed as mindless consumers of porn, always ready to check out a naked woman (or 50) from the privacy of their own computer. But is reality that simple? This workshop will ask participants to think critically about the role pornography plays in their lives, relationships, communities and society and how it may affect men and women differently. The audience will also be challenged to see how pornography connects to violence against women and healthy and unhealthy understandings of masculinity, and ask whether the role of porn in society serves men as much as we often think it does.
