3rd Annual You Are Not Alone College and University Conference

This July, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants, Men Can Stop Rape hosted the 3rd Annual You Are Not Alone Conference. Professionals from Washington, DC colleges and universities, service providers, prevention organizations, mental health professionals, and student representatives gathered to share best practices and learn more about sexual assault resources in the District. Throughout the day, our discussions covered topics of Title IX, activism on campus, bystander intervention, the continuum of sexual violence resources available in the city, trauma informed care and healing for survivors, and the importance of self-care. We heard from student leaders on campus, who spoke about their passion for activism on campus, peer-led prevention programs, intersectionality, changing the campus culture around consent, inclusion, and access of services.
